Most of Jaisalmer's best corners — the havelis, the step-wells, the back-street thali joints — were never built for guided groups.

We had the SUV for four days and never once looked at a clock. Watched the sunset from three different dune ridges because we could just keep driving until we found the empty one.
Handover took twenty minutes at the airport, keys in hand, and a paper map with the guy's handwriting on the good back-roads. Kuldhara at 7am with nobody else there — worth the early start.
First time driving in Rajasthan and honestly the fort lanes were the only tricky bit — the open desert roads are wide, empty, and honestly kind of meditative.

Who can drive?+
Anyone 21 or older with a valid driving licence held for at least one year. International visitors can drive on a valid licence from home alongside an International Driving Permit.
Is a security deposit required?+
Yes — a refundable deposit is collected at pickup and returned in full at drop-off, minus fuel and any damage beyond normal wear.
Can I take the car onto the sand dunes?+
Our SUVs and open jeeps are fine on the firm dune-access roads to Sam and Khuri. Driving directly onto loose sand isn't covered by insurance — for that, book a dune-buggy or camel safari once you arrive.
What's the fuel policy?+
Every car leaves with a full tank. Bring it back full, or we'll deduct the difference plus a small refill fee from your deposit.
Do you deliver outside Jaisalmer city?+
Delivery within city limits and to the airport or railway station is free. For outstation delivery, message us your location and we'll quote a flat fee.
